the ART GALLERY is a bespoke art gallery and curatorial practice, founded in 2020 by visual artist Rana Khalil. We create curated art experiences for everyone, everywhere, whatever the space, the medium or the scale.
01 Founder
RanaKhalil.
Rana Khalil is a published, award-winning visual artist, creative director and gallery founder. Her work spans graphic design, architecture and interior design, from attention to detail and made-to-measure proposals to a finely tuned final product.
She started her art career at a young age and has taken part in multiple global contemporary art and photography exhibitions. Alongside her practice she has managed luxury hospitality brands and led interior design teams on residential, administrative and commercial projects across the MENA region.
That eye for space is where the gallery begins: Rana opened its first venue around a feature stairwell in Sheikh Zayed, turning every climb into a curated journey through a theme.
02 Our vision
To contribute to a deeper understanding of Egyptian art, and bridge the gap between our art scene and the world.
We show interdisciplinary work by artists from all walks of life, for art connoisseurs, first-time visitors and everyone in between.
A curated experience isn't tied to one wall. We started with a stairwell, then took the journey to a cinema in Downtown Cairo and a residential lounge in Dubai Marina. Any space, any medium, any scale: art is for everyone, everywhere.
